        <![CDATA[ 2008 King Mountain Hang Gliding Championships Report


This year&#39;s King Mountain Hang Gliding Championships was held July 14-19th.  Monday through Saturday proved to be a popular change from
the previous Wednesday through Sunday schedule.  Scoring was handicapped based on glider performance and the best 4 out of 6 days were scored using the
Flytrack scoring program.

			<description><![CDATA[ Some folks have told me that it is difficult navigating/posting to the photo gallery.  If you&#39;re having trouble with it, there are two things you can do:

1. send me your photos, via email, CD, thumbdrive, etc., and I&#39;ll post them for you.

2. post your photos to your favorite photo-sharing site, and point me to them there.  I can copy them over to the FKM photo gallery.

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve updated the Google Earth placemark collection for King with some of the 2008 meet track logs that were given to me.

I could use more tracklogs.  If you send me yours, I&#39;ll see if I can add it to the collection.  Along with the tracklog, I&#39;d appreciate a short story
about the flight that can be added to the tracklog&#39;s description.

  Some stats for this years king meet.  Lisa gave me a print out for each days results.   The open class flew a total of 5,479 miles, and the rec flew 2,015
  miles.with Brian Foster scoring 81 in both classes but only counted once (in rec because it looks better there) for these totals.  That&#39;s 7,494.5 miles
  for four out of five scoring days.  Not counting re-flights there were 295 launches/landings!!.  199 from the open and 96 from the rec class and very few
  down tubes being... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Well, you just look at them. Turn on the track log for Bill&#39;s Henry&#39;s Lake flight, then study it by spinning around, panning, zooming, etc. See where
he went to find the lift, where he deviated from the straight track to Henry&#39;s etc.

GE isn&#39;t as good as SeeYou for re-playing a flight, but it&#39;s nicer for studying it. ]]></description>
