I flew Sugar last weekend with my 6030 and saw 27 mph hands off with 15 degrees (or so...) of flap.

Is this in the range of normal? How low can you go? Any feedback from any rigid pilots appreciated!

I was glad to have the wheels on landing as it was nil wind, 90 degrees, 4700' and the LZ was slightly downhill!

27 mph with 15 degrees of flaps sounds right. On my VR in can thermal as low at 23 mph. You will know how slow you can go by the tail shaking. The tail will
shake just before the stall.

When I have 30 deg. flaps my glider will stall hands off. I have to keep it pulled in before I flare. John I would say your glider is right but check to see if
you have about 35 mph with 0 deg. flaps. 27 mph is about as slow as I can go in smooth air.

Hi John,

I trim my Atos more by feel than by what my airspeed indicator is telling me. Here's what I mean. At the 15 degree flap setting, I have the glider
currently trimmed so that from hands off, I have to push out about 8-10 inches (an estimate) in order for the glider to be flying at its slowest. With the
hang loop in this position, at 5 degrees of flap the glider will fly reasonably fast by not super fast.

Last time I flew, I noticed that my glider was trimmed...
