We will need tarps, rubber bands,weights and pilots with chutes to repack. As, in the past if you want to come out early and help Justin with clearing out the barn that would be greatly appreciated. We will also have a pot-luck table. So, come on out, re-pack your chute, visit with friends, tell stories and have a bite to eat. I'll have to count 'em. In the past I've tried to find the proper rubber bands on the internet, but wouldn't you know that they're a strange size and I just can't find them. The ones I have came from Betty. I'll do another web search. Ernie

I'll be having my own chute pack in the near future, Justins is a bridge too far for me. This might be helpful. For my Lara 250 the bands were 2" long by 1/4" wide. That is a size #61 but was difficult to find on the web. Might be able to get the bands from Mission. Bob Stanley

I think I did find one source, once, but they required a huge order, while all we need is a pound or two. What I'm looking for is a #61 2inch x 1/4 inch, or 50mm x 6mm. I can't remember if we want natural rubber, or if we need to stay away from natural rubber. Don't settle for 2x1/8, or 1 1/4x1/4, which you will find. Looking at my notes, I see "wilson #64" and "apsco #61". This may mean that there is a Wilson "brand" (?) that is numbered #64. Happy Hunting!

Dykema is a good source, judging from the number of hits I got for them when searching the web. My mistake was not digging further into their website. On their products page, they list a lot of sizes, but not #61. It wasn't until I got into the ordering area and did a search for "61" that they came up. And none of the links from Google's search page pointed to the subpage for the #61. I just ordered a bag to see if I could. It worked. I'm bookmarking that page for future reference. Good work! p.s. with shipping, one bag is closer to $10.

I'll count them when they arrive. But, your 300 in the had beats my 600 coming next week! If John hadn't found that web page, Betty would still be our one and only source.

It was good practice tossing them. The day was nice and sunny. Justin provided a hydraulic boom to suspend us from. Donna made an awesome crockpot of chili and pilots brought many other goodies. We got an early start and were done in time for some pilots to go flying. Many Thanks to Karin and Justin for letting us impose on them. And thanks to Gregg and Ernie for sharing their knowledge and expertise. I got a few photos I will post when I have time later. CW
