Well Hull paled in comparison to the St. John's fly-in...nobody landed farther than the Pillsbury LZ. But no crowded airspace with everyone at the fly-in.
I drove up Sat night and passed Roy and Doug heading home. I guess Roy, Doug, Mike, and Robert were the only ones who flew Sat. They said conditions were a bit
rough with some north-component winds but all had good long flights. All roads were open, no smoke, no fires, and sorry Ernie, no grading of M1. Sunday, winds
were more southy. Justin joined us as did 2 Berkeley pilots. Robert did a tandem. Thermals were a bit ratty down low but big and smooth higher up. Best lift
was near Lower, got above 8400', nothing on windy ridge. Air was fairly buoyant. Typical LZ conditions, great flying day!
