Ernie called the meeting to order at 7:44 and the agenda was opened and announced.
Safety report: Charlie opened the topic with the three blown launches at King, nose to high stall, flat slope launch techniques, fixing the correct nose angle prior to launch, St. John launch is considered a flat slope technical launch, Choose the right nose angle and run like hell, talk with our fellow pilots if you see something thats not right in preflight and post flight.
Stories and pictures of the King Mountain Championship where shared. Sonoma Wings where well represented in the garnering of the glass with Scott H. John D. earning plates. The posting of photos on the web site photo gallery difficulties where talked about. Twenty one Sonoma Wingers attended and flew at King Mountain. Thanks and appreciation where given to Donna, Lisa and Connie.
The St John fly in was talked about and endorsed with T-shirts, food and flying for both, skilled, Para glider and Hang Glider pilots. The fly is was from Aug. 1st to Aug. 3rd. Talk about the tasks was introduced by Leo, Meet Head; Sat. out and back with the pilot reporting the turn point, and Sun. a task to Gilmore Peak and back to Mary's with a landing time, on the hour, bonus. Para Glider pilots will determine there own tasks. Ernie will obtain the registration forms and Jon J. will bring the first aide supplies. A gift for Mary and the camping site opportunities where introduced.

The Christmas Party location and theme questions where broached to get date, location and theme nailed down well before the event.
Indian Valley, and Owens Valley where thrown out there for trips over the Labor Day weekend. The Dan Murphy Memorial fly in at Fort Funston will be held on August 23rd.
The idea of a a Mosquito club forming was jokingly thrown into the mix?
The next Sonoma Wings meeting will be the 4th Thursday of August the 28th.
