Ernie called the meeting to order and announcments about club members where made; Jon J. won the Sport Class and Bill V. won the Ridgid Class at the Lakeview Nationals. Way to go! You guys rock!
The Christmas Party dates where suggested to be either, Sat or a Friday December 6th or 13th? With a suggested theme being "Atmosphere". and a call for venue ideas and suggestions to be fielded at later meetings.
Safety issues where talked about: Landing conditions at Mt. Tam. and a Landing report from Hull. Flying at Hull as a Hang 2 with out a radio was talked about. Hang 2's at Hull need a guide and a radio.
Flight reports: Jim N. reported on his flights at Hat Creek. Jon J. gave a journal account of his 1st place finish at the Lakeview comps.
Talk about a post Labor day Fly in was held and the need for commited judges was agreed on. The Informal fly in is to be over the Weekend of Sept 13th at Hull Mtn. Three judges made commitments to judge launches, landings, streamer drops, altitude, duration and spot landing tasks.
