The Hull informal fly in was talked about with suggestions made on how to improve the scoring and the judging. A big thank you to Charlie for organizing and running the meet where given. Writing an article about this informal fly in format was suggested. Ernie the Club regional representative for USHPA talked about the creating a variety of different levels of competitions and competition formats.
The Mother Lode Sky Riders will be hosting their annual Octoberfest to be held Oct. 11th and 12th at Lake McClure.
The 2x annual USHPA will be held in Chattnooga Tennesse in October with both Ernie and Jon J. attending and heading their committees.
The next meeting will be Oct 23rd with nominations for S.W. club officers need to be submitted. The November 13th meeting should mark the voting on the nominations.
December 13th will be the date of the annual Holiday party, Needed are ideas for the theme of the party.
Flight reports: Fort Funston Shear flight and Scott reporting on a test flight of a T2 and flights at McClellan, Sweetwater, Wolf Mtn., and Cooper in 5 days.
Safety Report: A situation where a disrupted or hurried preflight and the inability to unzip a harness over the LZ was introduced and talked about. The topic of streamer dropping techniques was added along with the pros and cons of wheels.
The Elk Mtn. Fly in will be October 4th and 5th.
