Leo callede the meeting to order and started out with the introduction of a new member Steve H. who has not been able to fly due to a serious skiing accident
and now after a lengthy rehab and conditioning time finds himself eager to get back into the air and wanting to know how and who to hook up with to continue
his hang gliding training with. A number of members offered their suggestions and advice.
Dillon Beach is currently in the process of going through an environmental review and is not going to be available for any flying or flight instruction until
further notice.
A discussion was held about where new pilots can go to receive instruction: all of the known regional instructors and schools where introduced.

Greg S. Meet Head for the St John fliy in made a call for Tee shirt design entrees/submisssions any thing soon so that the Tee shirt can be made and ordered
well before the fly in. Tasks for the fly in where discussed with the 2 day format, Sat. and Sun. with a number of different ideas talked about. Emphsis on
flying elements and a discussion as to whether or not to have the meet santioned by USHPA which could help with insurance. Emergency procedures and prizes and
who might help with prize aquistion. Charlie and Donna will be incharge fo the Awards Ceremony. Barbeque will be on the menu.
An update on the club competitions: RedTaill to remain the same. Go for it, new rules will be posted.
Site Guides will be redone and reposted
The St Helena Fly in menu was discussed and meat will be the main course. Alternative launch potential for St. Helena was reviewed.
John D Talked aboutg the membership drive that is under way and the current number of 2009 members is 36. Personnal calls are being made to members of previous
years.
A discussion about Meeting content was had and suggestions about offerring specific topics to be presented at meetings such as speakers addressing
flight/-/pilot, equipment related topics. At Next months meeting, Andy Long will present the topic of Transitioning from a flex wing to a ridgid wing.
It was suggested one month prior to a comp that the routes and other information about that comp be the topic of discussion.
Leo presented his topic on flight instuments, vario and GPS functions settings and performance. John D. offered his information about his flytec 5030.
Charlie flys with a Altimeter watch with discussion about minimalist flight.
April 23 will be the date of next meeting.
