I drove out to goat today, I arrived at 3:30. The wind was straight in at 18 to 20 so I set up. Reavis and his brother were there also. They helped me hang
check and launched me off the cliff. Thanks again Reavis. The wind speed at launch time was now 25mph plus but the air was smooth. I ended up doing a lot of
hovering over the beach. After about a half hour I could tell that the wind was getting stronger, so I started to think about landing. I was in the air about
50 minutes total. When I hovered down to the beach the wind was blowing about 15 to 20 on the beach but it was not smooth. Thank god for sand. Had I started
flying about 2 hours earlier it would have been a much better flight. All in all a good day. Fred
