Executive Meeting report:: Web site committee has been working on updating the website with thanks to Ernie for his almost a decade of service / countless hours working on the Website and other Sonoma Wings projects. Reavis and Jon will also be working on updating the website. Charlie will be working on the weather page and wants feedback about what works for them. Photo's to the website conversion and Dr. Jacks Blip site and X/C skies where discussed as possible additions to the web site.
Safety: addressiog safety concerns. Jon J. Introduced the safety topic as a natural group process, with talk of creating safety expectations and specific standards. Pilots and support crew where encouraged to continue the attitude, climate, environment of open discussion, dialogue that have been taking place when it comes to safety. Pilots need to pay attention to the wind direction at their chosen LZ and not to forgo a preflight process. A built in safety agenda with data collection was talked about and a colletion of minor incidents was introduced.

Andy L.,and Greg S., presented the evenings program about Transitioning from a flex wing to a rigid wing: A presentation about Ridgid ground handling techniques, where to take your first flight, going to the up rights and turning differences, Rigid mechanical differences , the angle of the control bar. Hook in differneces Hang height and hang check. wing span dymamics flap settings and trim sensitivity stall speeds turning characteristics, roll control factors Yaw an no adverse yaw . Spinning with and with out tail. landing set up and drogue chute deployment. launch and l.anding and flying differences.
Scot H. shared his video of his flight from IV to Mt. Lassen. The announcementof the Yosemite trip for June 12-14 was made.
